Delhi: Muhammad III ibn Tughluq (1325-1351), gold dinar (11.00g), AH 728 (1327-1328 CE). Obverse legend "duriba fi zaman al-'abd al-raji rahmat allah muhammad ibnÉ", continued on reverse "al-sultan al-sa'id al-shahid tughluq shah sanat thaman wa 'ishrin wa sab'ma'a" ("struck in the time of the slave who seeks the mercy of Allah, Muhammad, son of the sultan, the delighted, the martyr, Tughluq Shah, year eight and twenty and seven hundred (728)"). Lovely example struck on thick flan.
